FRANK JONES' LATEST NEWS

-Great news is that Frank is back on the performing circuit again with a great new Melbourne band called "BiG FOLK".
BiG FOLK include Frank's long-time collaborator and producer George Butrumlis (playing keyboards and guitar … that's right!, no accordion), Dennis Close on drums, Howard Cairns on double bass, daughter Rosie Wositzky-Jones and Rosie Hilder on backing vocals. The BiG FOLK sound is, well, big, folky, rootsy and very different from what you're used to from Frank and George. Check them out at www.myspace.com/bigfolkband

You can also hear songs from Frank's pop songwriting partnership, The Phat Bacharachs at their website - www.myspace.com/phatbacharachs

-And then there's the West Australian connection…. "Frank Jones and the Western Furphies". Frank and a team of Fremantle's finest: John Reed, David Hyams, Reuben Kooperman, along with Melbourne bass legend Liz Frencham regularly hit the Fremantle pubs and clubs (well, a couple of times a year) and play a fine selection of Furphy hits and Frank's more recent material with a distinctive Westralian sound.

-When not performing or writing Frank can be found teaching songwriting and lyric craft in secondary schools with a range of presentations, performances and workshops. (See "School Shows" section)
